Leading hotel investment consultant firms envisioned that popular tourist destinations such as Phuket and Koh Samui have become more attractive to global investors compared to Bangkok. Global investor tended to consider return on investment more carefully.
“Off-shore investors are in general remain in wait-and-see position whilst local investors who understand the political situation take its as an opportunity to invest. Under the shadow of political unrest in Bangkok, Thailand tourism industry gets a little boost by discounted fare to several Thailand tourist destinations outside Bangkok offered by regional low fare airliner Tiger Airways. 60 kilograms, 2.2 meters spotted dolphin stranded at Patong beach has finally died after marine biologists from Phuket Marine Biological Center failed to safe its life. Phuket Police arrested two men for involved in deforestation in protected forest land on March 19th. Police caught them in action when a regular patrol identified the conduct in the area near Kata viewpoint. Police found about 5,000 square meters of land already deforested. Local villagers of Ten Bang La complained about canal poisoning by a shrimp farms in Ban Tha Rua, Phuket. The shrimp farm operators let chemical wastewater into Klong Pak Ka and kill a lot of marine life. The operators ignored warning issued by Pa Khlok Tambon Administration Office and therefore the authority will take the issue to the police.
