The event was attended by ever-present and stylish in his own right Phuket Governor, Wichai Praisa-Ngob and his wife the director of Red Cross Phuket Thaisika Praisa-Ngob. Organisers were pleased to announce they were to carry on with their environmental conservation project Save Phuket Save our Planet which is now in its third year.
When you buy products totaling 1000 baht from Central Festival, you get a Save Phuket Save our Planet stamp. You can then choose to stick the stamp anywhere on the Phuket provincial map on display and that stamp equates to one mangrove tree which will be planted. Or, when you spend 500 baht, you will get an eco-friendly bag, and the proceeds from these sales will go to planting a mangrove forest in Phuket.
